Space Consultation
Not sure where to start? We help you understand your space, define a direction, and style it with confidence.
Most clients come to us knowing something is wrong with a space, but not quite knowing how to fix it. The furniture feels mismatched. A room never quite works the way it should. Something is off — but without a trained eye, it is hard to name. Others come to us at the beginning — a new build or freshly completed room, a blank canvas that needs a clear direction before a single piece is chosen. A Space Consultation is designed for both moments.
We listen. We assess. We give you a clear creative direction.
We Listen
Before we look at the room, we listen to you. How do you live in it? What frustrates you? What do you love? What has already been tried? Understanding how a space fails for the person in it is the first step to fixing it.
We Assess
We walk the space with a professional eye: proportions, natural light, traffic flow, existing furniture placement, and the architectural elements that can be worked with or around. We identify what is causing the problem — and what is not.
We Advise
You leave the consultation with a clear creative direction: what to change, what to keep, and what order to do it in. We discuss budget ranges honestly, and we tell you where the biggest impact per spend lies.
You Decide What Comes Next
Some clients take the consultation and run with it themselves. Others commission us to take the project further — into a full interior design, a soft furnishings brief, or a complete Design and Build. There is no pressure either way.
A single session can reframe an entire room.
A Space Consultation is right for you if you are about to make a significant purchase and want to make sure it works before you commit. Or if you have been putting off addressing a room because every attempt to fix it creates a new problem. It is equally right for you if you are starting from scratch — a new build, a newly acquired property, or a room that has never been properly considered — and you want a trained eye to help set the direction before anything is ordered or committed to.
It is also the natural first step before any larger commission. Many of our full-project clients come to us first through a consultation — it gives both parties the opportunity to understand the space, the brief, and each other before a larger commitment is made.
Scope can range from a single room to a full-property walkthrough — whichever is most useful to you at this stage of your project.
Clarity — before a single purchase is made.
A clear design direction
A defined aesthetic and spatial approach for your space.
An honest budget conversation
We discuss what different approaches cost in the real market and practical guidance based on current supplier knowledge.
A sequenced action plan
What to do first, what can wait, and what not to do — so that every decision you make moves the room in the right direction rather than adding to the problem.
The ability to brief anyone
Whether you use us for the next stage or not, you leave with enough information to brief a contractor, a supplier, or another designer with precision.
The clients who get the most from their spaces are not those with the largest budgets — they are the ones who understood what they were doing before they started spending.
